The Telegraph Wire, we are glad to learn, will be completed as far as this place, on tomorrow or next day. The post are already up as far as here, and all the necessary machinery for telegraphing is now in our office, ready to commence operations as soon as the wire is placed on the posts.
We respectfully invite our friends, particularly the ladies, to visit or office and witness the mysteries (to the uninitiated) of this remarkable achievement of man. |
