Jena Choctaw to hold annual Pow Wow

The Jena Band of Choctaw will hold its annual Tribal Pow Wow on Saturday, October 10, 2009.

The event will be held on tribal grounds, located on Highway 84 in Trout, LA, just west of Jena, and will feature Native American dancing, drums, crafts and demonstrations.

Only Native American crafts and art, but all food vendors are welcome.

Gates open at 11:00 a.m., and the Grand Entrance will be held at noon.

Admission will be $5. Students get in free, but must be accompanied by an adult.

No alcohol, or pets will be allowed. Bring your lawn chairs.
